This violin painting was part of my AP Art portfolio in high school. The overall theme for my portfolio was music and how music is represented physically and emotionally. I experimented a lot with different colors. The color swatches below were some colors I mixed up with acrylic paint. I wasn't sure what vibe I wanted the overall painting to be. I didn't want the background to be too bright or too dull.
